Web Developer (Drupal) A vacancy has arisen for a bright and proactive person to work in our IT department as a Web Developer, specialising in Drupal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ·         Responsible for the design, layout and coding of our web applications ·         Responsible for managing updates to our website on drupal ·         Developing sites to meet business needs ·         Management of maintenance and site updates ·         Write programming code for website to meet business requirements ·         Manage website testing and identify any technical issues ·         Uploading of site onto relevant servers ·         Ensure compatibility with existing applications ·         Management of content management system (drupal) TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED   ·         Several years’ experience in developing Frontend website ·         Very strong skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP ·         Expert experience with using Drupal content management system ·         Experience in the design, development and implementation of frontend websites ·         Experience in Content Managed systems ·         Experience in working with end business users; to help present website design ideas and to take on board and implement suggestions   TECHNICAL SKILLS DESIRABLE   ·         Experience in mobile websites and mobile web apps (including iOS development) ·         Knowledge of jQuery, MySQL and Apache ·         Knowledge or experience of websites utilising Perl with an Oracle database, using templates to build pages ·         Social Networking Development ·         Familiarity with incorporating online help to web pages, i.e. documentation written in RoboHelp / Author-IT etc ·         Experience using version control systems (such as GIT)   PERSONAL SPECIFICATION ·         Good communication skills with a confident and polite manner ·         Strong organisational skills ·         A proven ability to plan, problem solve and prioritise ·         Strong sense of urgency ·         Ability to work well under pressure ·         Proactive, self-starter used to working on your own initiative ·         Flexible in your approach to work and hours required to complete the task in hand Highly skilled, creative and enthusiastic individual
