My Client, make a real-world impact by developing the latest technology to dramatically improve efficiencies of the mining industry.

They are building a platform which coinntinuously optimises the world’s industrial equipment, dramatically improving efficiency and productivity.

You can be located in either UK or Barcelona. Remote working is offered for some days. 

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to turn our software into easy-to-use products for our clients. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes for a wide range of devices and interfaces that lead to intuitive user experiences and effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Key skills and experience required:

  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role with a portfolio of design projects
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools as well as standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies

Job Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Minimum
    • 2 to 3 years of UI/UX experience in a well known software environment
    • BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
    • Must be fluent (written/spoken) in English.
    • Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferred
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for data driven software functionality
    • Language skills (particularly Spanish and Russian) are not necessary but are a positive.

The right person for this role will have a can-do attitude, who takes the initiative and has the confidence to bring their ideas to the table. If you prefer a role with a task list, this job is not for you.
