Within our client company, they are looking for people to join the PNOC Hosting Implementation team, the team is responsible for the logical provisioning of customer Virtual Hosting components and solutions 

The team works closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective delivery of high-quality Hosting services to external and internal customers.

Job Responsibilities

- Implementation, test and changes on customer Virtual Hosting services, Storage services and Application monitoring 

- Technical validation of new orders related to customer Hosting services and Storage as a Service 

- Assist in/produces low level design for customer solutions 

- Plan, review procedures and conduct planned activities, migrations and changes in live customer solutions 

- Technical point of contact for Service Delivery, Sales Engineering, Project Management and In-Country Datacentre Engineering teams for issues related to Hosting service design, implementation, test and turn up 

- Pro-active diagnoses and fix of technical issues arising during provision of, and changes to, complex Hosting solutions 

- Pro-active escalation, follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality 

- Review and update department’s internal WI and technical documentation so they adequately reflect the company standards, released technologies and best practices 

- Lead internal and cross-team trainings to improve the technical skills of team members 

- Applies ITIL methodology to the role and follows best practice standards and processes 

- Adheres to the company security policies and report incidents to the appropriate operations functions 

- Assists in the Continual Process Improvement (CPI) program as needed 

- Work on assigned tasks and projects as directed by senior management

Experience Required

Good technical knowledge and understanding of best practice standards and the practical implementation of processes to ensure repeatable quality work. 

- Three years of experience - deploying, configuring and managing Windows and Linux servers in large scale companies. 

- Sound virtualization knowledge (VMware) 

- Excellent Operating System and Network troubleshooting skills 

- Good awareness of Hosting components (Storage, Firewalls, Server Hardware, backups etc.) and how they work together to create a solution 

- Good knowledge of telecom and Hosting industry and standards 

- Excellent English language skills a must, other languages - an advantage 

Advantage would be : 

- Experience of IP services on Cisco or Juniper equipment 

- IP. MPLS and routing knowledge in an ISP environment 

- Cisco / Juniper hardware and IOS knowledge 

- Scripting on Power Shell, VBS, Pearl, Bash 

- Experience database administration, tuning for MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL 

- Experience with Siebel, CRM / CMDB software 

- Certification in ITIL to Foundation level or above would be a distinct advantage.
