Team Description & Purpose of Role

Hosting Implementation team is responsible for the logical provisioning of customer Virtual Hosting, “Storage as a Service” and Application monitoring on a pan-European footprint. 

The team works closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective delivery of high-quality Hosting services to external and internal customers.

Job Responsibilities

 Implementation of managed customer’s Virtual Hosting services, Storage as a Service 

 Technical validation of incoming orders related to customer Hosting services and Storage as a Service, Assist in low level design for customer solutions 

 Conduct planned activities, migrations and changes in live customer solutions. 

 Works closely with Service Delivery, Sales Engineering, Project Management and In-Country Datacentre Engineering teams for tasks related to Hosting services design, implementation, test and turn up 

 Pro-active diagnoses and fix of technical issues arising during implementation of, and changes to, complex Hosting solutions 

 Pro-active escalation, follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality 

 Review and update department’s technical documentation so it adequately reflects the company standards, released technologies and best practices 

 Applies ITIL methodology to the role and follows best practice standards and processes 

 Assists in the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program as needed

Experience Required

 Good technical knowledge and understanding of best practice standards and the practical implementation of processes to ensure repeatable quality work. 

 Two years of experience - deploying, configuring and managing Windows and/or Linux virtual and physical servers in medium to large scale companies. 

 Experience with VMware (VCP is advantage) 

 Excellent troubleshooting skills 

 Excellent understanding of IP networking basics 

 Good awareness of Hosting components (OS, Storage, Firewalls, Server Hardware, Backup, Monitoring systems etc.) and how they work together to create a solution 

 Good knowledge of telecom and Hosting industry and standards 

 Excellent English language is a must, other European languages - an advantage 

 Certification in ITIL to Foundation will be considered as advantage
