My client builds advanced technology applications for the financial services industry and counts some of the world s largest financial institutions as clients. Enabling their clients to realise new business opportunities and gain competitive advantage through their comprehensive engineering and industry expertise. They are currently looking for 3-4 Software Engineers the position will require a technical architect with coding skills as well as development experience with the following skill set: * A minimum of 1 years experience working with FLEX * Distributed computing (datasynapse, tangosol, gemfire) experience. * Experience in developing within multi-platform (multi-threaded) environments. * Experience of performance tuning notably for JVM, apps Servers and databases. * Knowledge of tools used for diagnosing bottlenecks - both commercial and free (JDK). * In depth working knowledge of Java 5 and 6 is a must. * Knowledge and experience of agile development practices - both XP and Scrum * Experience of Lightweight frameworks spring in particular This is a fantastic opportunity within the financial sector; we are looking for candidates with the above credentials and a forward thinking ability.
